There are several sounds: birds in the forest, clock ticking, waves (surf), water flow, white noise, birdsong, rain or waterfall noise, several melodies. As a background, it's soothing; after a few minutes you stop hearing it altogether. The charge lasts a long time. Didn't correspond with the seller. I recommend both the product and the seller.
